RARE ANTIQUE 10" 78 RPM SHELLAC PRODUCED IN 1903!

"Zonophone (early on also rendered as Zon-O-Phone) was a record label founded in 1899 in Camden, New Jersey, by Frank Seaman. The Zonophone name was not that of the company but was applied to records and machines sold by Seaman's Universal Talking Machine Company from 1899–1903. The name was subsequently acquired by Columbia Records, the Victor Talking Machine Company, and finally the Gramophone Company/EMI Records. It has been used for a number of record publishing labels by these companies."
This listing is for # 341, Miss Ada Jones and Mr. Len Spencer performing "Fair Fisher Maid and Her Catch". The shellac shows a good number of light scratches, but none deep and grooves can be seen. I'll grade VG; I imagine it could be played with proper equipment. It was found in a plain olive green thick paper sleeve and the previous owner affixed a label with artist name and song name (not shown in listing photo). The information label on the back provided a date of production of 1905.
