Description
This is a wind-up gramophone which we used for dancing in the 1950s, and we thought of it as old then... I have seen identical ones on the internet dated to the 1930s and 1920s. The inside and the chromework are in very good condition; the outside of the box is rather battered and scuffed, the handle is in poor shape and the clasp rusty, and a few drops of paint on it. I have tried to show all this in the pictures. There is a little drawer that opens, which was for storing spare needles (see the picture). It works fine, nothing is missing. I am also including a cardboard box full of old 78 rpm records of various sizes, many of them in their original bags. I think some of these date back to the 1920s - see the picture. I am listing this as collection only because I can't imagine what it would cost to post it - but if the buyer wants it sent I suppose we could find a courier price. Please no timewasters - if you want to buy this please bid. I shall not reply to anybody who sends a message trying to but it outside of ebay. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to view this.
