Beatles VI was The Beatles sixth (technically seventh, including The Beatles' Story) American release on Capitol Records, but ninth album for that market in less than one and a half years (the first American release was Vee-Jay's Introducing... The Beatles in January 1964).
Beatles VI includes the remaining six tracks left off Beatles '65 from Beatles for Sale. Also included was the B-side to the single "Ticket To Ride": "Yes It Is", as well as "Bad Boy", a track released only in the States at this time, and three tracks from the upcoming British release of Help!: "You Like Me Too Much", "Dizzy Miss Lizzie", and "Tell Me What You See". "Bad Boy" and "Dizzy Miss Lizzie" were especially recorded for this album. As with Beatles For Sale, the "Kansas City/"Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey" medley was originally listed only as "Kansas City". After the attorneys for Venice Music did their job, the record label was corrected, but not the album cover.

One of the nicest pieces in my collection, is this first stereo pressing of the Beatles VI. Still factory sealed in very tight untorn shrinkwrap, this beauty looks pretty much exactly like it did when I bought it new. Since I had the MONO version already, I never bothered to open this one up and play it. This one has the riaa #6 at the bottom of rear cover, and the first issue stereo record play text at the top in bracketed area. Super flat,crisp and clean, I would grade this one mint minus, due to very slight corner tap or rub (lower- right). No other distractions such as shelfware or creases. Bright whites, and sharp clean graphics. The original OLIVE innersleeve CAN just be seen at center of the opening. Sharp corners, and centered spine description. Rear text does have the "see label for correct playing order"! You couldnt ask for a nicer ORIGINAL copy of this particular title.
