This is the first pressing of the kinks seminal 1967 classic, and they don't get any better than this one. These first issues were pressed on heavy weight vinyl, and the sleeves are silver coloured with fold around flipback sleeves.

Ray Davis is a writer who has a gift in the observational, and his oservations on something else, are rooted in the musical landscape of London, e.g Waterloo sunset where we find Terry and Julie, and David watts ( the school bully ) Ray has it all written down with his afternoon tea and his social and political observation with situations vacant.  

Dave also puts in a excellent performance on death of a clown and love me till the sun shines and funny face, and his song writing talents are almost equal to his oldest brother on this album. 

The condition of the cover is quite stunning and shows no wear at all, its an absolute emaculate cover, all four courners are sharp and blemish free and have no shelfwear at all. All of the silver colouring is perfect, and all of the wrap arounds are perfect and intact, and all of the text is clear and sharp and readable along the spine, all in all a perfect mint cover.. these just don't turn up in such amazing condition as this one, the best i have ever seen.. mint condition.

The heavy vinyl is perfect, a strong near mint without any scratches or marks at all. this has a deep shine that modern vinyl does not have, under a strong light it has one or two of the very faintest paper traces that vanish when moved to a different angle and in ordinary light it looks absolutly stunning with a hi gloss to both sides. Beautiful and almost mint, no scratches or anything like that.. this is almost perfect, one of the best i have ever seen... beautiful condition vintage vinyl at its best.

The labels are unmarked and in amazing condition.

The Audio is perfect, no crackle or distortion, beautiful sounding loud mono, this is beautiful. mint.

Mint - the record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks  or deterioration of sound quality . The cover and an extra items such as such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition . records graded as sealed or unplayed should be mint.

Excellent- the record shows some signs of having been placed, but there is little lessening in sound quality . The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. 

V. good- The record itself has been placed man times , but displays no no major deterioration in sound quality ,despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items , without an major defects is acceptable
