Description
A rare first pressing Lp from 1957, this is LEE MORGAN Vol.3, Blue Note 1557. Condition is average or better for it’s age. Cover is vg/vg+, no writing, no seam splits. The front is laminated which is starting to peel along the open edge, corners are bumped. The back is not laminated, with shelf wear and age spotting. Labels have multiple spindle marks but no paper loss. Heavy vinyl is visually vg/vg+ with light surface scratches and scuffs (do not affect play) and decent shine/luster. Plays VG+ or better. The music is surprisingly clear and clean. The value in the Goldmine Price Guide to Collectible Jazz Albums, 1949-1969 (1994 edition) is VG+ $40 NM $100. Reasonable starting price with no reserve.
