This rare 45 record from Starday Records features the legendary THUMPER (GEORGE) JONES with the rockabilly killer tracks "ROCK IT" and "HOW COME IT." This record is nearly pristine aside from 2 letters and 4 numbers written on the A-side label, what looks like a very long time ago. The vinyl is perfect with mirror like gloss. This record is for the true enthusiasts adding to their personal collection. I’ve spent some time recently going around to record stores and record shows to see how sellers grade records and to see what’s out there in general. I have come to understand why my fathers collection is so special. He spent his life collecting and caring for these records, it was his passion. I am not a record flipper and I only sell from my fathers vast collection. My prices may seem high but after what I’ve seen many times over, they are under valued. I’m in no hurry to sell these pristine records as I owe it to my father to do right by his life’s work. If you’re looking to flip I may have some listings that will work for you. But pristine gems like this are for collectors who want to add the best copies of music history to their collections. These are not records that were found in a falling down shed or your step uncles dank basement. They are the life’s work of a ‘50’s music aficionado. This is a first edition single released in 1956 and graded as M-, even with the slight WOL. The record label, catalog number, and other important aspects are listed in the product details. If you use Popsike etc for reference make sure you read the listings fully, zoom in on the record for visual condition (if you can even see it) and view the history. The latest one that sold does not set the bar. AND “RE” means Reissue, NOT AN ORIGINAL pressing. Also there is a night and day difference between VG- and M-!!
