ULTRA RARE French avant garde collection from the series Prospective 21°siecle. A compilation of Music concrete / electronic / experimental / tape collage / electro acoustical music by the cream of electronic composers from Paris, Tokyo, Utrecht and Warszawa : Ivo Malec, Luc Ferrari, Guy Reibel, Bernard Parmegiani, Pierre Schaefer, Pierre Henry, Makoto Moroi, Krzysztof Penderecki, Andrej Dobrwolski, Arne Nordheim, Wlodzimierz Kotonski, Boguslaw Schäffer, Francois Bayle, Jaap Vink, Milan Stibilj, Frits Weiland, Jacob Cats, Alireza Maschayeki, Luctor Ponse, Jos Kunst, Gottfried Koenig, Toshiro Mayuzumi, Maki Ishii, Minao Shibata

The collection is on 4LPs in box. FRONT: metallic front; black box; LABELS: red Philips. The box is numbered as 6740 001, while the records are numbered 6526 003-006. Also contains booklet on composers and works. This is an original pressing – the metallic effect on the box is a work of art in itself, achieved (as far as I know) through the use of metallic inks and paints in a printing process, rather than by using foil. The effect is similar to laser etching, but not as regular.

Condition: BOX: VG+++, slight rubbing to corners, top right corner split half way. Cover laminate is intact and glossy. Hinge is undamaged. BOOKLET: Cover has some foxing (brown mildew stains), otherwise no damage. RECORDS: VG+++; probably as close to MINT as you will get – I bought this set in 1970-71 and taped the pieces I wanted to hear repeatedly. They have been cleaned recently to remove some mildew resulting from storage - there is still an occasional click or pop, and they would probably benefit from a professional cleaning process.
