AC/DC Test Press High Voltage Australia (ALP 009)
This one is a big deal, and a top AC/DC collectible. Possibly just as rare as the "12 Of The Best" sleeve.
If you Google "bravewords bon scott shaving mirror sells at auction" you will find a story about a record just like this one that sold in Australia in 2006. Mine is not the one from that auction, but it's the same record.
A quote from the article: "But an AC/DC vinyl test pressing of High Voltage with its original paper and PVC wrapper sold for $8,655."
Pictures #7 and #8 are pages I printed from that auction. You can see the markings on this test press are identical. Comes in the same "PVC" style sleeve. This same sort of light plastic also covers the labels. The runout area has the "YAPAX 1177" designation on it. No other markings.
The vinyl is very clean. There are couple of small scratches on side 2 that cause some popping for a few seconds. Mostly at the end of You Ain't Got A Hold On Me, and to a lesser degree in the space between Love Song and Show Business. Not a huge deal, but I wanted to point it out. It's a nice record and you won't be disappointed.
I'm taking a gamble and allowing this auction to go at NO RESERVE. It will sell for whatever is bid. Good luck.
