LED ZEPPELIN FIRST ALBUM VERY FIRST PRESSING (TURQUOISE COVER)





Here is a great opportunity to own an original copy of of the highly sought after first pressing of Led Zeppelin's 1969 self-titled debut album. Both the spine of the cover, and the record itself have the all important catalog number of 588171. It was decided that the turquoise lettering and Atlantic logo on the front cover didn't match the desired image of the band, and they were swiftly changed to the orange color you will find on most examples of the record. It is said that less than 2000 copies of the turquoise cover left the plant before the change of heart. 





The record is in a solid collectable condition. It's by no means near mint. There is some creasing and wear, Please see the photos I've provided. The vinyl itself does have minor scratches throughout and has obviously been well loved. 





In 2012 a copy sold for $1890.00 if you google rare turquoise-sleeved edition of led zeppelins first vinyl you will find the info

under 2000 copies of the sleeves ever left the plant
