extremely weird '72 private black consciousness LP wow! Shipping Info | S/H info: Description SAGGITTARUS & THE ANCIENTS the jackass bone (part 1) on NUCLASSICS SOUNDS records (private press out of arlington, VA). never in a million billion years did i think i'd run into another copy of this SUPER fu*ked-up outsider artifact. got one in a trade a couple years ago from the amazing tim harris (who lives near where this was issued) then found this one here in s.f. go figure. this dude is like the ed wood of black consciousness performance art, acting out all parts in this scripted play and narrating over soapy church organ, low-fi samples and canned sound fx. two side-long tracks: "recognition of blackness" and "the jackass bone". see liner note scans below for more on storyline and i promise you, if you're into grass roots black power-era expression, you will FLIP over this LP. the screams during his "transformation" will have you howling!! and i don't ever (EVER!) normally laugh along with ANY artistic material tackling the issues of the black plight here in the states. i respect this guy but he's just totally flipped!! a mega-obscurity here for the open-minded outsider spoken word billy couvson soul funk samples etc collector. see my other auctions for a fun little mix of vintage obscurities, rarities, curiosities, etc.
