Description
*I conservatively grade (visual) the vinyl I am selling. When possible, I sound grade as well. Frequently, item(s) for sale will be in better condition than what I have it graded as. See pictures and if needed, ask questions!
Media is in NM condition.
Cover is in VG+ condition.
1). Both sides have a very very minor bit of "crackle" when played thru. It's only really noticeable at the lead in, lower volume/quieter parts of songs and during the breaks between tracks. Of course, that is to be expected as the disc is over 60 years old.
2). Upon very close visual inspection of the disc, on Side 1 / Track 2, there are a couple of very small pinhead type dots in the track that I suspect are a result of the manufacturing process. This does cause a small clicking sound about halfway thru the song. It lasts for approximately 8-11 second. On Side 1 / Track 4, there is a super small "blip/pop" that causes a small forward skip.
3). Despite the minor blemishes, this album does play thru on both sides. It's sounds strong and I believe that if it were cleaned via VPI or ultrasonic machine, then perhaps the very light layer of crackle noise could be reduced even more. Perhaps the small "blip" on track four may even be due to dirt in the groove as this album is free of user made scratches/draglines. I only gave it a wipedown with an anti-static bush before I played it.
4). The "circular" mark described in the visual inspection on the listing on Side 2 - Track 2 causes NO playback issues.
*** After the playtest, due to the minor blemishes, I feel this warrants a (VG+/EX) sound grade.
