Description
Black and silver label, deep groove. Side 1 has 4 tunes from 1954. All tracks have similar personnel with slight variations. All tracks have Sims, tenor sax; Bob Brookmeyer, valve trombone or piano; Red Mitchell, bass; Larry Bunker, drums; Gerry Mulligan , baritone sax is on 2 tracks; Jon Eardley , trumpet is on 1 track. A "live" performance. Side 2 from 1959, 3 tracks, again with similar personnel. Sims on all tracks along with Monte Budwig, bass; Mel Lewis , drums; Russ Freeman, piano; Billy Bean, guitar on 1 track; Jim Hall guitar on 2 tracks. Cover VG+ or better 2" tear line on the spine(does not appear to be a split). Wear on 1 corner. Partial record ring on the back cover with monor aging,. Fine overall appearance. Record: Mint Visually shows no wear. There are 3 short light surface rub marks. No surface noise. Fine sound and condition. Audilbly checked.
