Zoot! The Zoot Sims Quartet Riverside RLP 12-228 mono LP. Original deep groove pressing with white/blue reel and mike logo. Sidemen are Nick Travis, George Handy, Wilbur Ware, and Osie Johnson. Tunes are: Why Cry\Echoes of You\Swim, Jim\Here and Now\Fools Rush In\Osmosis\Taking a Chance on Love.

Condition - Grading is Visual Under Bright Light

Cover is a VG. The front cover graphics are beautiful and vivid. The corners are worn with a 1/3 inch split on the lower right corner. 1 1/2 inch split on the top middle and two inch split on the middle spine with smaller spots of seam wear on all seams.  The back cover slick shows wear and soiling with a sticker tear on the left middle edge. A decent example of this cover that faces up nicely.

LP is a nice glossy VG with some light sleeve wear, scuffing, and hairlines, nothing feelable or serious. The marks do not cover the LP but there are more than a few. Labels are beautiful with spindle marks visible under bright angled light. A decent example of this rare and desireable early Riverside.

Overall not perfect or NM but a decent copy of a rare jazz LP that is touch to find in any condition. This copy should make some collector very happy. Check out my other auctions for more rare and interesting records. Grading

Grading is SS (still sealed), NM, VG+, VG. The myriad of grading systems on Ebay is a good indicator of the subjective nature of grading. In my opinion NM is close to perfect with one or two very minor flaws, VG+ is above average and collectable and VG is average used condition but probably the best choice for playing. I'm a collector and try to describe LPs as accurately as possible, the way I would want them described to me. The pictures should at least give a good indication of the condition of the covers and labels. Please see my seller feedback for comments on my grading. If you don't agree with how I'm calling a record that is your privilege but with all respect please don't bid.

Packaging

LP will be shipped outside of jacket in record bag and boxed for protection using an LP shipping box with cardboard stiffeners.

Terms and Payment

Low starting price and no reserve. Five day auction. Paypal only. Payment must be made within 48 hours of auction close or seven days for other forms of payment unless other arragements are made before end of auction.

I don't profit from shipping. If an overage occurs I will refund the difference.

US

$4.00 Priority mail with free delivery confirmation in US. Insurance is optional but I cannot be responsible for uninsured shipments.  

International

Shipping methods are  First Class or Priority International. First Class cannot be tracked. Please see shipping calculator for cost.

Refund Policy 

I stand behind what I sell, LP may be returned in original condition for a full refund minus return shipping costs if I am notified within three days of receipt of LP.  No rebates if you keep the LP. I don't end auctions early, there is no Buy It Now price, emails asking for a BIK price will be ignored. Good luck!
