Description
Elektra butterfly label EKS 74009 A SP / B SP
Both cover and label show EKS 74009, but with Butterfly label, although later Butterfly re-issues had the catalogue number K42013. This matches a slightly later US label re-issue.
The Zodiac: Cosmic Sounds was issued by Elektra Records in May 1967 and featured early use of the Moog synthesizer by Paul Beaver, with music written by Mort Garson, words by Jacques Wilson, and narration by Cyrus Faryar. Must be played in the dark.
Cover: Still has original cellophane wrapper. Great condition, although a small hole (like a ticket punch hole) see photos. I would say EX- or VG+ depending on how you are with the punch hole!
Labels: Elektra Butterfly, clean with light spindle marks only (see photos) EX-
Vinyl: retains a lovely sheen, a few wispy surface lines only EX-
Audio: Clear sound no jumps, sticks or skips, has very light non-obtrusive static hiss on opening track (both sides) DOES NOT overwhelm and soon disappears, despite this plays at a constant VG+ if not better.
Good all-round copy, that won’t disappoint
I have tried to be honest and transparent in my description - the photographs form part of the description. Questions are welcome, don't hesitate to ask. I have good feedback (and positive comments) as both a buyer and seller, so you can buy with confidence. I am a collector the few records I sell are either the results of upgrades or duplicates. If anything is not as expected, please contact me straight away, and I will do everything to resolve any problems without argument.
