Description
Here are 3 metal acetate test pressings made for Fat Cat's Jazz Records. They are tests for FCJ 100 and 101 which were the first 2 Fat Cat's Jazz LPs issued. They are titled Zutty and the Clarinet Kings Volumes 1 and 2. The reeds are Sammy Rimmington and Tommy Gwaltney. Bob Greene is the pianist and also present are bass man Van Perry and trombonist Slide Harris. The sessions were done in Manassas, VA in 1967. The acetate discs are in VG+ condition with some scuffs and a few light scratches. Volume 1 is a double sided disc and has 3 very small rim flakes in the acetate on side 1 that are not into the lead in groove. Volume 2 has 2 single sided discs. The B disc has the same issues as Volume 1 with edge flakes. The A disc is fine. The generic jackets are worn but are provided as they contain ole Fat Cat's personal handwritten notes. Shipping in the USA at $4.00 for Media Mail. Priority or Overseas mail will require a quote according to destination.
