      Other Information: Rare original "Tax Scam Lp". The  lp was not meant to be distributed to the public.

"It seems there's an interesting story behind Zoldar & Clark: a dodgo tax-scam label, Dellwood, released two albums recorded by New England proggers Jasper Wrath as Arden House and Z & C, quite certainly ensuring that no-one involved made a wooden nickel from them. As a result, what I originally described as 'their lone album' is actually nothing of the sort, as Jasper Wrath also released one of the first American prog albums in 1970. Anyway, Zoldar & Clark crept out in 1977, at a time when lesser outfits were still being signed, playing in a similar, though inferior style. I suppose the best way to describe this stuff is pomp, that peculiarly American cross between prog and radio-friendly rock (as popularised by Styx, Angel, or most of all, Yes-lite crew Starcastle), that never really travelled very well, although they definitely veered towards the more progressive end of the style. Maybe that was their downfall.

Although a couple of tracks head a little too near 'very mainstream' territory (To Be Alive is a particular offender), most of Zoldar & Clark is very good indeed and deserves better than the considerable obscurity in which it finds itself. I was originally under the impression that Joe Cannata played the Mellotron, but it seeems more likely that it was actually Michael Soldan. Whatever, his 'Tron work is excellent, with strings, brass and choir all over the place and some nifty pitchbend parts cropping up here and there. To say you're not going to find this album easily is probably a bit of an understatement, but should you happen to come across a copy for less than top dollar, it's probably worth the investment."  REVIEW PROVIDED BY "PLANET MELLOTRON"

Not all records will fit "exactly" into a specific grade and you should expect a certain amount of tolarance within each grade. What we view as "Very Good " others may view as "Good". Please keep in mind that there are two different types of record buyers - listeners and collectors. Most of the records we sell online are for the listening audiance. A true collector of fine and rare records would be interrested in the best of the best. Most of these buyers would examine the item in advance of buying. At times we offer very collectable items which will be noted. Many items in the very worst of condition will qualify as a collectable because of its rarity.  We try not to offer items that woud be disappointing to the buyer.

We aquire large lots of records from estate sales and prive collections. All records are played through out and visually inspecting vinyl/jacket/label condition unless sealed to provide our buyers with an accurate description of the record prior to listing.

DO NOT BE FOOLED. NO SELLER CAN GRADE A RECORD CORRECTLY WITH OUT LISTENING TO EACH TRACK. EVEN THE MOST PRISTINE VISUALLY INSPECTED RECORDS WILL HAVE SURFACE NOISE WHEN PLAYED, WHICH MAKES THE GRADE OF NEAR MINT ON A VISUALLY INSPECTED RECORD BOGUS.

All shipments are via the USPS. All shipments to Italy require insurance. Delivery times are postal estimates only. We cannot guarantee any delivery time noted by the postal service. We strive for customer satisfaction. However, some shipping delays are beyond our control such as weather and USPS errors. In order to ensure your purchase will arrive promptly, please review all your address information. Please contact us if your item does not arrive in a timely manner. If you wish to have your item shipped with a different carrier, please contact us before payment so we may provide you with the cost. 

Returns Policy

Returns are handled on a individual basis. Please contact us to inform us of any issues. We will resolve them to your satisfaction. Returns must be made within 14 days of delivery. Returned items must be 100% complete containing all original boxes and packing material. Customer is responsible for shipping charges on retuned items. We recommend that you fully insure your returned shipment in case of loss or damage. Please use a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery for you protection. We will notify you by email of refund/return options once you have contacted us about the issue. We will provide instructions at that time. DO NOT RETURN any item without contacting us first. Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted and will be returned at your expense. Any feedback left before the issue is resolved will forefit your rights to a refund.
