Description

Great California punk band's first 45 from 1977 on Greg Shaw's Bomp label (Bomp 110). Don't Push Me Around b/w Wimp.  Record and sleeve are Near Mint (my highest rating).  Looks unplayed! (visual grading only, not play-graded)

The Zeros were from Chula Vista, CA a suburb of San Diego.  They were affectionately known as the "Mexican Ramones".  Band members were Hector Penalosa (later of Flying Color and Django Reverb), Robert Lopez (El Vez), Javier Escovedo (brother or cousin of Alejandro Escovedo of the Nuns and Rank and File) and Baba Chenelle - drums.

The Zeros relocated to San Francisco and played many shows in the late 70's at Mabuhay Gardens (Fab Mab) in the pre-Dead Kennedys era, and many other local venues.  They also opened for The Clash at the legendary "bootleg show" (unauthorized by Bill Graham) at Temple Beautiful on Feb. 8, 1979.  See my other listing for a rare flyer from that show.
