Description
STABLE MATES, Savoy MG 12115, deep groove pressing, RVG in dead wax.
There are two groups on this 1957 recording.
On side A, the musicians are Curtis Fuller (trombone), Yusef Lateef (tenor sax, flute), Hugh Lawson (piano), Ernie Farrow (bass), Louis Hayes (drums). The tunes are G. Bouk, Ameena, Beauregard.
On Side B, they are A.K. Salim (leader, arranger), Johnny Coles (trumpet), Buster Cooper (trombone), Johnny Griffin (tenor sax), Howard Austin (baritone sax), Tommy Flanagan (piano), Kenny Burrell (guitar), George Duvivier (bass), Osie Johnson (drums). The tunes are Back Talk, D MInor Ripper, Dejeuner, A Private Cloud..
Condition of record is E, no scuffs, no scratches, a couple of spindle marks. Jacket shows slight overall wear, 1/2 inch seam split bottom right.

M = Mint. Brand new, unplayed. We never use the term "mint" to describe a used record, no matter how clean the record is.
E = Excellent. Some evidence of having been played, with no audible defect. Shiny surface, no groove wear.
V = Very Good. Noticeable wear, visual and audible. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
G = Good. Not really all that good. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.
We think that most buyers want to receive their winnings quickly, so we offer the fastest mail options and we pack our records very carefully in heavy duty mailers. Shipments are made on Saturday and Tuesday mornings. Records which have been paid for by 3:00 PM on the day before will be shipped on those days.
