YVAN LANDRY QUARTET Rare CBC TRANSCRIPTION

ALL RECORDS ARE CANADIAN PRESSINGS UNLESS OTHERWISE MENTIONED.

ORIGINAL pressing on the CBC TRANSCRIPTION label. CANADIAN ONLY RELEASE. One of a few Transcriptions I have for sale at the moment. NEVER released to the General public, these were only meant for Air Play on the CBC at the time of issue, and then never to be played again as they were time sensitive. ISSUED IN 1967 this set features music from the YVAN LANDRY QUARTET well known for his LP entitled CAFE AU LAIT (which I also have), this is at least as good if not better, and certainly even harder to find. Features 2 stand out tracks CONTROVERSE and CREPUSCLE which are amazing vibes led modern jazz from the time. The entire album is strong in my opinion, and its great to hear a Vibes led group as always.

This item, and the others I have listed, are from a decommissioned Music Library. This is a very Rare occurance to have this material come onto the market, so make sure to check all listings. Please note that stickers and writing are present on many of the covers and some labels, so please view all pictures carefully.
