limited clear blue & red splattered vinyl 12" Cat: MAXI 120612

Disco/Nu Disco/Re-Edits Side 1 - Track 1. Napoleon (Tecno Side) Side 1 - Track 2. Napoleon (Soft Side) Side 2 - Track 1. Napoleon (Flemming Dalum remix) Side 2 - Track 2. Napoleon (The Ri-Mix)

The 1980s Italo-disco scene was awash with one-shot projects - artists created by production teams who delivered a sole single before disappearing into obscurity. Lee Young (an alias utilised by a pair of producers and an uncredited lead singer) is one such example. The act's soul single was 1987 gem 'Napoleon', which is here reissued in expanded form. Side A sports the two original mixes, with the club-focused 'Tecno mix' - a bubbly, low-tempo blend of Italo-disco and hairspray-sporting synth-pop - being followed by the funkier and chunkier 'Soft Side' take. Over on the flip we get two fresh rubs: a classic Italo-disco throb-job courtesy of Flemming Dallum and a mid-tempo Euro-house-meets-trance pass from F. Ricci
