One of the most difficult Yes albums to find with a decent condition sleeve ............ I have seen so many copies over the years - none as good as this !

Yes: Jon Anderson (vocals); Steve Howe (guitar, background vocals); Rick Wakeman (keyboards); Chris Squire (bass instrument, background vocals); Alan White, Bill Bruford (drums).In 1972, Yes's brand of classically influenced, larger-than-life progressive rock had not yet been supplanted by the vitriol of punk, and concert-going kids would still greet 20-minute songs performed in their entirety with shrieks of delight and up-raised lighters. YESSONGS captures the group at the height of both its musical power and popularity. Perhaps surprisingly for such a progressive band, Yes uses the live setting to its advantage, finding musical space to explore even within its complicated arrangements. In some cases, these versions make the album versions sound a bit subdued.Especially compelling is "And You and I" from CLOSE TO THE EDGE, and a smoking rendition of "Roundabout", which one imagines the band wasn't totally sick of playing yet. YESSONGS serves as a compelling showcase for the guitar heroics of Steve Howe, from his intimate solo-acoustic "Mood for a Day" to his scintillating solo on "Yours is No Disgrace," which seems to float in the air and uncoil like a snake. The playing of the rest of the group is equally impressive, particularly the classically inclined keyboard excursions of Rick Wakeman. YESSONGS contains many of the band's finest compositions, and is one of the definitive live documents of the progressive rock genre.

Condition Of Vinyl:- All three discs have minimal use .............. No marks or wear at all ................ Fantastic sound quality throughout : MINT minus condition.

Condition Of Sleeve:- Very thick spine - to accomodate the four leaves - A really nice clean sleeve ...... No ringwear , very faint rub only ............

No edge wear , great spine ............ only the lightest of storage use : Very Carefully Graded at EXCELLENT condition.

The Booklet is in EXCELLENT condition.

The three Liner Sleeves are very clean and bright ......... No splits or damage .......... a little 'rippling' : Graded at Very Near EXCELLENT condition.

I grade items ( using the UK Record Collector Grading System) beneath a light , to be sure of condition

I do not believe it is necessary to use the eBay buzzwords such as STUNNING !! RARE !! AWESOME !! , padded out with grossly long winded 'descriptions' ..... Many of the 'experts' who use this method of selling also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and does not correspond with the actual facts , and would be laughable but for the fact it is totally misleading. I take time and care to graded items correctly , and only list quality records , with concise , accurate grading descriptions

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest !) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists 'live' ( I saw The Beatles twice and Segovia !)

I began selling professionally in 1976 , and have a wide knowledge of the items I sell (and always learning !) having bought copies of my own at time of issue , always being interested in the sleeve , label and disc variations. If you have any queries , I will do my best to answer correctly
