Up for auction is the extremely rare and in mint condition Yes L.A. compilation on Dangerhouse Records EW-79, circa 1979. This copy is the very hard to find green pictures with red text on a clear background. I am told this is the rarest of the clear and correctly printed copies. There were a total of 2000 printed. None had record covers, only a piece of white cardboard at the back, which is still intact on this mint vinyl. The record came with no sleeve, but I have added one to protect the record, the plastic cover and white cardboard backing are what came with the record when I bought it in 1981 at 2nd Avenue Records in Portland, Oregon. It has only been played maybe 3 times, as I used to make tape recordings of all of my records, thus saving them from the fumbling hands of my fellow heathen and sometimes intoxicated punk rock pals through the last 26 years.

Yes L.A. was a one-sided picture album released in 1979 (see 1979 in music) on Dangerhouse Records (EW-79) featuring Los Angeles based punk rock bands, most notably X and The Germs. The title is a parody of the seminal No Wave compilation album released a year earlier, "No New York" and even went as far as including the disclaimer, "Not produced by Brian Eno" on the record. The record has become highly sought after by record collectors.

2000 copies of the record were produced with several different color combinations available: Brown/Green, Blue/Green, Black/Green (the most common of the printing) and Red/Green (the least common of the printing). Even scarcer in existence are a few copies (the exact number is unknown) that were misprinted as the background images were put on by hand; examples include copies with text only, with the background image in front of the text or the image and text on the side with the grooves (rendering this misprint unplayable). Original copies came with no sleeve in a clear bag with a cardboard backing. Some test copies on black vinyl are known to exist.
