YES ''YES'' 1969 (DEBUT ALBUM)!!! 1ST UK PRESSING! CAT NO. 588190 ! MEGA MEGA MEGA RAREST OF THEIR ALBUMS TO FIND LIKE THIS!!! EARLIEST #1 #1 MATRIX PLUM\RED ATLANTIC LABELS AWESOME TOP NEAR MINT AUDIO THROUGHOUT!, CRYSTAL CLEAR AND VIBRANT ALMOST PERFECT ON MY SYSTEMS!!

Here is another from my personal collection! This is probably the rarest of the Yes albums to find like this! ! These 1st UK pressings do not turn up for sale that often at all, and if they do the vinyl is often played to death! This album when released , virtually never sold. Very few originals are ever seen in this condition! This original and earliest 38 year old vinyl produces absolutely awesome top cristal clear audio throughout! It seems quite obvious to me that this vinyl has barely ever been played!! Unbeleivable rarety!!!!

YES is the 1969 debut album from British progressive rock band Yes!, (NOT TO BE CONFUSED BY THE 3RD LP ''YES ALBUM'' THAT WAS RELEASED IN 1971) This original and their 1st album is considered among the first progressive rock albums!!!. With the original Yes line-up of vocalist Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye and drummer Bill Bruford, Yes was the quintet's original musical statement, one that merged harmonic beauty with heavy instrumental backing!!.

While many music critics regarded it as a strong initial effort, the album was not a large commercial success, due in part to the inexperience of the band and the producers. The album was also overshadowed by Led Zeppelin's debut album, released earlier that year!!!.

Two of the eight songs on the album are covers, which the band use to demonstrate their penchant for massively reworking others' songs; The Beatles' "Every Little Thing" is turned into a grungy wall of sound with several tempo changes, and The Byrds' "I See You" becomes a jazzy psychedelic workout for Banks and Bruford to display their instrumental virtuosity!!!

The Vinyl

This is the original thicker and heavier type of vinyl only found like this on earliest press! The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable! On initial inspection this still looks awesome retaining its sheen from new!!! Only when looked at under a strong light can possibly any sleeve removal marks be seen! (no) needle scratches or audio sounding marks at all!! These have very little if (no) effect on the awesome audio that I heard!!

The Audio Quality

I have played this vinyl at very loud volume prior to listing on a top system! The audio is outstanding! Cristal clear and vibrant throughout! With (no) signs of any grooveware or that this has been over played what so ever!!! Amaizingly there was not the usual background crackle that is so common on vinyls of this age and even in between tracks there is silence, Please allow for the odd very light static that may be heard in some quiet places only  but i must emphisise nothing so intrusive as to spoil the overall audio experiance! Please remember that I play these at extreemely loud volume on a top system.  I would grade the audio as a definate excellent plus to near perfect on my systems, no clicks or pops!! I would class myself as highly critacle when it come down to the audio quality. Please look at my completed listings of records that i have sold of this valaber and you will see that i normally get it right!

Please note ! I always add this discaimer! I have played this vinyl at very loud volume on a top system at very loud volume and as always have given my very honest opinion on the audio uality as I hear it! Please allow for the odd (light) static\ tick not consistant throughout the audio! Please remember that this is a genuine 39 year old vinyl that would have originally been played on a 39 year old system! please note that it seems evident that this vinyl has only had very minimal play only!!!

The labels

These are the red \plum Atlantic labels (only 1st press) Bare minimal spidering can only be seen angled to the light! (in my opinion this has barely ever been played) Little if (no) spindleware the hole is perfectly round!!!

The Cover

This is the original 1st press Atlantic gatefold cover! Unlaminated! Beings primarily black in colour at the front and 39 years old there are virtually imposible to find in good condition! There are (no) splits or tares just very minimal  rubbing to talk of indeed. superbe spine, all writing is fully legible! This is strong and straight and way above average condition for the year! This must be at least excellent to excellent plus in my opinion!
