SUMMARY

The first important indeed, essential live album to come out of the 1960s British rock & roll boom. In terms of the performance captured and the recording quality, it was also the best such live record of the entire middle of the decade. Cut at a Marquee Club show in 1964 , Fivelive Yardbirds was a popular album, especially once Eric Clapton's fame began to spread after leaving the band.

Excellent +

The laminated flip back cover has kept the outersleeve in great condition as you can see in the photo. Although there are some small creases around the corners the photo of the band and fonts maintain there original quality.

BACK

Excellent -

There is two very small tears on the entry side other than this it looks great.

LABEL

Excellent -

There are marks around the hole on both sides where the spindal has rubbed against the label.

VINYL

Very good -

This record does show signs of being well played. There are abrasions on both sides. On side one at '9 o clock' to the label there is a substantial scratch. Also on side two there is a small scratch at 5 o clock to the label.

AUDIO QUALITY

Excellent -

There is some hardly noticable background popping, but this does not have a negative effect on any of the tracks. Despite these marks on the vinyl, the audio quality has stood the test of time and plays excellently.

Dear collector my name is Sam Barraclough and I have undertaken the task of selling my father’s extensive record collection. He has amassed a considerable and varied vinyl collection of albums and singles during his time as a DJ and critic, with many rare and items included. In addition to the known rare records there are many demo and promotional items, which were not available for general purchase.

I have a data-based collection using the Rare Record Price Guides' grading scale (If you are unaware of this grading system please don’t hesitate to contact me and I will reply as soon as possible with the guides description). As you can see in the description there is a grading given for Vinyl and Audio Quality. This is necessary because a record may seem poor quality when viewed, but when played the Audio Quality is often excellent. Conversely the Vinyl quality may seem excellent but when played the Audio Quality can be quite poor.

The chronology of the collection stretches from the early 1960s to the early 1980s with a concentration of British Beat, Rock, Punk and Mod - but I will only be selling those records that I value at £18(€27) or over. For domestic delivery I offer a choice of Royal Mail 1st Class or 2nd Class Post and a Recorded Delivery Service if requested. For International customers Royal Mail Airmail and Surface Mail are available for dispatch of your item (please be aware of the considerable delivery time difference between the two- see table below). For all services I will obtain proof of postage which insures the record up to a value of £32 for lost or damaged items.
