For sale is the VERY RARE Custom/Private Press self titled 1979? LP by Children Of The Lamb (C.O.L.) on the custom/private press Soundcastle Records, catalog #SC-1003-LP. Ultra obscure project by this NC based group. It's not listed in Ken Scott's "Archivist" but only because it's not been discovered! It's an interesting mix of hard rock, skits and a bit of folk thrown in as well. Think of a basement version of early pre-label Resurrection Band crossed with Issac Air Freight. They probably got their hands on a copy of "Awaiting Your Reply"! Hard rocking originals "Decisions" and "Problem Solver" feature great electric guitar solo work. A cover of the classic Southern Gospel "Jesus Is Coming Soon" gets a jangling folk oriented twist and another nice guitar solo. The two skits are fun "drug addicts get turned on to Jesus" that reek (pun intended) of the era. My only complaint would be that there's not more songs! North Carolina is known as a hotbed of great 70's Jesus Music and this one is no exception!! Songs include:
