Wizz Jones - When I Leave Berlin
I am having to rationalise my vinyl collection due to space issues, so up to 300 albums must go. Mainly rock, but with a good smattering of Folk, Jazz and some Musicals and Classical - including some desirable rarities. So if you can't find what you want now, please keep popping back to check out the latest offerings.
Artist : Wizz Jones
Title : When I Leave Berlin
Cat No: Village Thing - VTS24
Release Date: 1974
Description:
A great album from one of Folk's most influential and admired guitarists. This copy has the bonus of being autographed!
Cover: Generally clean, but does suffer from some laminate lift - especially alongside the spine. The autograph (see photograph) was given after a performance at a local folk club in the early 1980's. VG.
Inner sleeve: The clear plastic inner is fairly creased but unsplit.
Labels: A nice clean pair of labels with no untoward marks or writing. Ex.
Vinyl: A nice heavy chunk of vinyl. Side 1 is visually very clean with a lovely shine, except for an ugly mark on Track 4 (see picture). It plays with just a little background except two light clicks on track 2. Track 4 plays fine with some mainly light clicks for about a minute, with a couple of heavier clicks. The damage is unfortunate, but doesn't detract too much from the overall listenng experience - VG+. Side 2 is much better with near silent background other than a little more on the final track - Ex.
All pictures are of the actual item described.
Records are play-tested on a highly revealing Linn LP12 (Sondek) with Ittok arm and Ortofon Tango cartridge. I listen on headphones to try and ensure every detail is captured.
Please note, I will always try to grade my records as accurately as possible in line with the Record Collector scale. I am a collector as well as a seller and I know how disappointing it can be to receive an item that does not come up to your expectations. If in doubt I will be conservative, and I will always point out any flaws.
**OVERSEAS BUYERS**
I am happy to mail items to North America, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the European Union. However, I will only mail using the 'International Signed For' service. This does make it a little more expensive, but does ensure that your item arrives safely and saves any disputes, which I can do without! Please do not bid for an item if you are not prepared to pay for this service.
£8.50 p&p for EU and £11.50 for North America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand - I will reimburse any significant difference in actual cost, if you pay via PayPal.
**RETURNS POLICY**
I will be happy to fully refund you (minus postage) in circumstances where you feel the item does not match up to my description. The item must be returned to me in the same condition as it left me. I will always try to rectify a problem, so please feel free to get in touch if you one. I have a 100% positive feedback score and wish to keep it this way!
**FEEDBACK**
I recognise the importance of Feedback, and I will always leave positive feedback whenever I can. I also appreciate your feedback. I will leave my feedback once I know that the item has been safely received.
Payment must be made in full within 7 days of the end of the auction.
Records will be posted with the vinyl separate from the sleeve. The vinyl will be placed in a new poly-lined inner to save any damage to the original inner. All of the components will be placed inside a polythene outer. Everything will be posted to you in an LP Record Mailer with cardboard stiffeners. Items will be sent promptly - usually within one working day of payment.
