Description

2014 US First Pressing on NEON ORANGE Vinyl | NM/NM Condition-----For the Serious Flaming Lips Collector & Vinyl Enthusiast:

Up for sale is a rare, pristine copy of The Flaming Lips’ star-studded psychedelic tribute, With a Little Help from My Fwends. This is the highly coveted 2014 original first-year pressing from the US, housed in near-mint condition vinyl and sleeve.

This specific record is an ultimate collector's curiosity, featuring a fascinating jacket-and-disc mismatch.

The Mismatch Detail:

While the sleeve's barcode (0 93624 95217 6) points to the Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots reissue, the physical vinyl inside—verified by the catalog and matrix codes—is confirmed to be the 2014 First Pressing of With a Little Help from My Fwends. This is an easy tracking slip to make given the sister project's near-identical packaging, and it results in a truly unique piece for your collection.-----Key Details & ConditionThe Record

  • Album: With a Little Help from My Fwends (October 2014). A track-by-track, noise-rock re-imagining of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

  • Vinyl Color: Vibrant, Neon Fluorescent Orange Vinyl.

  • Featured Artists: This sprawling collaboration features an incredible lineup including Miley Cyrus, Moby, My Morning Jacket, J Mascis, and Tegan and Sara.

  • Mastering & Sound: Produced by long-time sonic architect Dave Fridmann, the audio is intentionally chaotic, blown-out, bass-heavy, and densely layered—a true psychedelic experience.

  • Pressing Plant: United Record Pressing (Nashville, Tennessee). This is verified by the famous, long-standing circle-U stamp (Ⓤ) in the dead wax on both sides (Matrix: 1-544000-A Ⓤ and 1-544000-B Ⓤ).

Goldmine Grading

Both the record and sleeve are graded at the high end of the Goldmine Standard.

  • Record Grade: NM / M- (Near Mint)

    • The vinyl is completely shiny and looks like it was just opened. There are no visible scuffs or surface noise during playback.

  • Sleeve Grade: NM / M- (Near Mint)

    • The sleeve is close to perfect, showing only minor signs of handling but no distinct bends, folds, or seam splits.

This is your chance to own a pristine, colorful, first-year pressing of The Flaming Lips' unique and collaborative album. Don't miss out on this fantastic addition to any serious vinyl collection!
