Description
Hi
My name is Rob and as my 100% feedback shows I am an avid collector as opposed to a seller.
My two passions are, anything related to The Beatles both records and memorabilia and Gum cards, mainly from the 60's.
However over the years in my quest to build a top end collection I have accumulated many duplicates in both RECORDS & CARDS.
I have now decided to list back on Ebay some of these items, so please add me to your favourites list to keep an eye out for what is coming.
Now as stated I am a collector and not a seller and am proud of my 100% feedback record and wish to maintain it. So as not to disappoint I will describe these items to the best of my ability and will offer a full refund to anyone who is not satisfied with what I have stated. PROVIDING!! That all transactions are completed with satisfaction before negative feedback is left.
I am a friendly and approachable person so please email me with any queries you may have, especially before negative feedback is left.
NOW TO THE LISTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On offer here is another Major Rarity from The Beatles This is an Original 1963 1st Pressing of their second album "WITH THE BEATLES" with a Factory Sample Sticker. HOW RARE IS THAT ????????
There are reputed to have been only 250 Factory Sample Labels issued with each new release of an Album by EMI and this is one of them.
This is an Obvious 1963 1st Pressing as is denoted by the The "All rights to the manufacturer" message around the label starting with "The Parlophone Co Ltd". It also has the "Recording First Published 1963", but not "Sold In The UK" statements, and of course the "Publishing Credit" for the track Money has been credited to Jobete Mus. and last but NOT least the spelling to the track You Really Gotta Hold On Me was later changed on the 2nd pressings also issued in 1963 to You Really Got A Hold On Me.
The Matrix Numbers in the run out grooves are Side 1: XEX 447- 1N, and the Mother and Stamper numbers are at 9 o'clock is the number 3 and at 3 o,clock the letters RT. Side 2: XEX 448- 1N. The Mother and Stamper numbers are at 3 o'clock the numbers 1 and at 3 o'clock RT. It also has the Mega Rare KT tax code stamped on side 2 of the label. The MEGA RARE Factory Sample Label is on side 1of the record.!!!!!!!!!!
CONDITION !!!!!!!!!!!!
Side 1:The Label is in a Superb Excellent Condition with only spindle marks showing. The record still retains a beautiful Full Shine and plays throughout with no CLICKS, POPS or JUMPS, not even between tracks, it truely is a remarkable sounding copy.
Side 2: The Label again is in GREAT shape with only spindle marks showing . The record still retains a Beautiful Look and again there are no CLICKS, POPS or JUMPS anywhere. I am playing the record on a Top of the range Linn System and it sounds Absolutely Fantastic.
This record would be VERY HARD to find in BETTER condition anywhere but to be an Original 1st PRESS with a FACTORY SAMPLE sticker. NOW THAT IS RARE !!!!!!!!
SLEEVE !!!!!! Is an original Ernest J, Day & Co Flipback with the Mono in larger lettering than the later copies and is in ABSOLUTELY STUNNING condition with just a corner knock to the bottom left, there is no break in the laminate and the spine is intact, the reverse of the cover is in REMARKABLE condition considering it is white, there is also a RED STAMP mark which states DELETED This record is very valuable because it is no longer obtainable. Therefore return to Library immediately finished with. LIBRARIAN. That is again something that helps show the Mega Rarity of this record.
Ask yourself this.
If only 250 of these Factory Sample labels were ever issued and given to Musical Journalists, Record Executives and Radio DJ's over 42 years ago, 1 how many are left in Existence ????????? 2 how many are in this Superb Playable condition ???????
So be one of only a few people in the world to own this MEGA MEGA RARE record and enhance your collection.
I bought this record on ebay last year from a seller named Papieno, and she claimed that her husband bought it from an Ex EMI Executive many, many years ago and it has been in their collection ever since, I of course have no way of verifying this though I have no reason to doubt her word. I bought a few other records from her which I shall be keeping.
I paid a considerable amount of money for this record but will set no reserve and leave it in the lap of the gods. Though I PROMISE you will very, very RARELY see this record for sale again, and NEVER in this condition. So if you are a Mega Beatles Fan or just a Lover of 60's Music in general then this is a MUST HAVE for your collection.
I will also accept first time buyers as everyone has to start somewhere.
I of course offer my standard FULL REFUND should for some reason the buyer feels I have incorrectly described the record. That is how CONFIDENT I am that the buyer will NOT be dissapointed with their purchase.
HAPPY BIDDING & GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
