Description

Here is a very unique Wisconsin Xian folk psych record. It is called Dewdrops and Dandelion Dust. Released on the tiny Raynard label (Milwaukee, Wisconsin). It was a Cardinal Stritch College (Milwaukee) production. It has a mixture of Xian folk with psych leanings, and spoken word. Kind of primitive---with extremely beautiful vocals and sentiment. It totally captures the late 60's vibe-------it actually reminds me of the Montgomery Chapel LP (Search Party) without the fuzz guitar. It is truly a great record! The vinyl is NM. The jacket has the original shrink wrap mostly intact-----and with some light corner wear rates a VG++ NM. Winner to add $6.50 insured Priority mail in the US, $6.50 airmail to Canada, $13 to Japan, and $12 to other approved countries (insurance extra). Payment strictly due within 5 days of end of auction. Good luck bidding!

Song titles: (1) Soliloqui, (2) Mist Against The Rainbow, (3) Resurrection Song, (4) We Killed The Dove, (5) Retribution, (6) Silence, (7) Courage, (8) My Unreality, (9) Little By Little, (10) At Little Moments, (12) Searchin', (13) Silhouette Of A Woman, (14) The Boy, (15) Dewdrops And Dandelion Dust, and (16) Finding. Apparently this album came to being through the efforts of a group of college girls in their '68-'69 school year at Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee. I will quote part of the back cover info: " The idea of creating this album first stirred in the mind of one enthusiastic undergraduate early in the 1968-69 school year and her contagious and eager optimism spread to the rest of her junior class and to the sophmore class as well. These two classes agreed jointly to sponser a totally student-composed, written, and produced record... Here you have a glimpse into private thoughts and desires of Cardinal Stritch girls and through them a look at today's young college generation." Indeed! Here you have guitar, piano, bongos (!), beautiful lyrics and vocal harmonies, as well as deep spoken word pieces.......adding up to a one of a kind record!
