Wink-The Shaggs LP. Record looks unplayed, but has a few very, very light paper scuffs. Cover has lightly scuffed corners but no seam breaks or ringwear front or back.

The fabulous Shaggs from Notre Dame, with their orgy of sound. . . from the practice sessions three years ago in the. Farley Hall basement to their current fame. . . as the outstanding band on the campus, and in the South Bend area. Finally unleashed . . . and running wild.

March 14, 1967. The day that I started smoking. The bleakness of the 5 a.m. rising, and the cold snowy Indiana dawn. The long trip on my new used Honda, braving the chuckholed roads and the Polish milkmen. Meeting the instrument laden hearse, waiting for me at the Notre Dame circle. And the five smiling Shaggs.
The trip to the International Recording Studio in Chicago. The $27.50 speeding (If) ticket and the Hammond Court.
And 63 blocks too far north.
Unpacking, coffee, tuning. Running it down.
Shaggs take one. Shaggs take two.
The hamburgers and Budweiser. More Bud and more Bud. And cigarettes. Shaggs take 23: "Sugar and Spice". Good cut. Unbelievable-a whole album in one marathon recording session. 20 hours. Engineers Perry Johnson and Verner Ruualds amazed.
Probably recording history.

Repacking. Return. A day later, still the bleakness and chill of 5 a.m.
A little less nervous.
A little less cold.
The sun was rising - on The Shaggs.
