Wings London Town Vinyl LP 1978 First Pressing Complete Poster Inserts Mint M PAS 10012
Description:
Wings - London Town
Original 1978 UK First Pressing Album
Released on Parlophone Records / MPL Communications Ltd.
Catalog Number: PAS 10012 (OC 064-60 521)
Matrix Stamper Variants: Early machine-stamped first edition runs. This listing is for an absolute investment-grade, top-tier collector copy of Wings' 1978 pop-rock masterpiece, "London Town." Recorded largely aboard a yacht in the Virgin Islands and at Abbey Road Studios, this standout release perfectly blends Paul McCartney's peerless melodic songwriting with smooth, late-70s soft rock production, featuring the massive global hit single "With a Little Luck." This is the genuine UK first pressing, distinguished by its custom graphic labels showcasing Tower Bridge. Crucially, this archive set is 100% complete with all its original, delicate insert components that are almost always missing or damaged. Housed in its original thick card sleeve, it comes complete with the large, pristine full-colour double-sided band poster and the custom lyric/picture inner sleeve featuring color-bar margins. Finding this entire package preserved in this pristine, unhandled state is exceptionally rare Condition Grading:

  • Vinyl: MINT (M) – Pristine, flawless, and completely unplayed heavy vintage vinyl disc. The playing surface retains its full, striking factory mirror gloss across both sides with absolutely zero hairlines, surface scuffs, or storage wear. The center labels are immaculate and entirely free from spindle trails or handling wear. An absolute museum specimen.
  • Outer Sleeve: NEAR MINT (NM) – The original un-laminated card sleeve is beautifully preserved. The spine is completely solid, rigid, square, and fully legible. Edges and corners are sharp, and the graphic portraits display rich, un-faded color definition with no ring wear or storage rubbing.
  • Inner Sleeve & Poster Insert: MINT (M) – The custom lyric inner sleeve is flat, clean, and completely free from seam splits. The large fold-out poster remains crisply folded, vibrant, unhandled, and has never been displayed.
