Description

Wil Malone is the extremely rare and hard to find British psychedelic album from 1970 by Wilson Malone. This is the most difficult psych album to be found on a 60’s major record label. He was the principle song-writer in Orange Bicycle, whose song ‘Lil Vally’ performed by The M-Ms and the Peanuts is also an early soul collectors item. He also has writing credits with a band called The Smoke and Fickle Pickle from the same era.

He continues to compose, arrange and produce music for another four more decades. The strings on Massive Attack's Unfinished Symphony were his work as was the Verve's 'Bitter Sweet Symphony'. He has also worked with Depeche Mode, UNKLE, Black Sabbath, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Basement Jazz, Faithless and Kylie Minogue… to name only a few! Check it out.

Cover: Excellent (EX)
This has been stored correctly inside a premium plastic sleeve with no ringwear on the cover. The bottom left hand corner has a very modest 3mm bend from storage. It is unlikely that many exist or trade hands in better condition.

Vinyl: Excellent (EX)
This record was purchased and forgotten about for the best part of forty years. The grooves are in Mint condition. There is some resin staining on the Fontana emblem on Side 1. The label is not torn within this area but tiny little pockets of air have bubbled up behind it.

Please note that postage and insurance costs to be agreed at end of auction.
