Description
On April 18, 2013, country legend Willie Nelson celebrated his 80th birthday by performing a special concert at Third Man Records in Nashville, Tennessee. Joining him for this once-in-a-lifetime show were fellow musicians Neil Young, Norah Jones, Leon Russell, Sheryl Crow, Jamey Johnson, Ashley Monroe and Jack White. The concert was taped for an episode of "CMT Crossroads," and later in 2013, Third Man Records issued a 2-LP recording of the show as part of its rarities subscription series.
This extremely rare test pressing, cut at United Record Pressing in Nashville, contains the same tracklisting as the final release -- three sides of music, with the blank D-side featuring an etched graphic of Nelson's famous acoustic guitar, Trigger. I've played the records once to verify that there are no scratches or imperfections, and they sound great. Here's the tracklisting:
