This is an ultra rare LP record on the American Urania label featuring Wilhelm Furtwangler conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No 3 in E Flat Major, also known as the Eroica symphony. This is a rarest of Furtwangler’s recordings and was released in 1953 as URLP 7095.

The vinyl grades visually as near mint. The record looks like it was very well cared for, with no marking or scratches and very good gloss. The music has excellent depth and sound quality and although there is slight background vinyl noise noticeable in quiet passages, typical of vinyl of this period, the record sounds excellent. I’ve cleaned this record with the Disc Doctor’s Miracle Record Cleaner - according to the maker of this cleaner, it takes two to three playings before there is a noticeable difference in sound quality, so possibly some of this background noise will disappear, even though it is negligible in any case. The cover is also in NM condition.

I am now shipping to my US clients through USPS services. I am located in Canada but I now have a carrier service to bring my parcels directly across the border on Wednesdays to be shipped out of the USPS postal outlet in Champlain, N.Y. In addition to the actual shipping cost, I do charge a $3.00 handling fee to help offset the cost of this special US service and new packaging for this piece. Please note that even with the handling fee that it is less expensive and is a quicker service than using Canada Post.

Because eBay is now requiring TRS sellers to process within 24 hours, I would require your Paypal payment by Monday at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
