Description
This is the rarest Furtwangler record as the master tapes were destroyed or lost for this recording. Exceedingly rare early made in US on Urania URLP 7095 Red Deep Grooved Label, heavy and flat pressing, E3KP-4554/4555, Matrix ULP 7095 A/B. Program: Beethoven Symphony no. 3 'Eroica', Wilhelm Furtwaengler conducts The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
This has been spot tested on a VPI. It plays wonderfully with the exception of what looks like a factory occlusion half way through track two side one, that is 1/4 in and has pops through that section of the occlusion - Did not try giving it a serious cleaning.
