My seller feedback is 100% positive so you can bid with confidence. Grading a record is always very hard, as everyone got their own grading system. I always check my records under a critical light so there won’t be any surprises (many sellers don’t do this), so I will see even the lightest hairlines and sleeve lines which you won’t see in normal room light. Progarchives.com: "Fairyport" was the 3rd album released by Finlands WIGWAM which also featured the introduction of another cast member with the entrance of the outstandingly talented composer/musician/bassist Pekka Pohjola. The end result was WIGWAM's first real stab at pure progressive rock and INMO is one of my more favoured albums of the 70's prog era. On "Fairyport", WIGWAM mix jazz, rock, pop all in one exploratory album with a nice wide range of themes and moods. Generally the songs are pretty organ drenched with lots of rhythmic syncopation. With "Fairyport" the threesome of Gustavson, Pembroke and Pohjola was completed. Jukka Gustavson (keyboards) wrote the most progressive pieces, with Jim Pembroke (vocals, piano) wrote the lighter and shorter songs and Pekka Pohjola's (bass) focus on the instrumental aspects. The bottomline is a very well balanced album with lots of progressive tendencies, instrumental prowess and instrumental mastery. There are several magical moments on this album including "Losing Hold" , "Cafffkaff, The Country Psychologist" and Pohjols's ZAPPA-esque instrumental tribute "Hot Mice". Band membership was Ronnie Österberg (drums, congas, percussion, backing vocals), Jukka Gustavson, (vocals, piano, organ, electric piano), Jim Pembroke (vocals, harmonica, piano, electric piano), Pekka Pohjola (bass, violins, acoustic guitar, piano, celeste and harpsichord). I guess every diamond has one rough cut and so too does "Fairyport" with the last track being a 17 minute live epic recording circa 1971 and sounds even with the re-mastered CD version like something off a bootleg. Having said that the studio material is to kill for and I would heavily recommend this album to all lovers of progressive rock.

Condition: VG(+) / VG- (Record/Cover) 

Record has some lite scratches & hairlines and two light greyish marks, probably from vinyl pressing plant. I playtested vinyl and it plays really well, in quiet places you can hear some normal light background noise... Gatefold cover looks OK, some edge- & ringwear and pricesticker on top right corner. Inside gatefold cover you can find booklet.

Grading (Record):
This is my grading system. I’m very strict when grading a record. Mostly my VG+ grade is most sellers EX. Please note that I will not sell anything below VG condition. Also, I don’t use VG+++ or EX+++++ like some sellers do…

NM (NEAR MINT)
This is highest grade that I will assign to opened, handled records. The vinyl is virtually flawless, bright and shiny. A very minor, barely visible scuff or two may be permitted, but no scratches. The disc should play with no audible noise. The label is bright, clean and unmarked.

EX (EXCELLENT)
Disc plays near perfectly, but may have minor paper scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a few hairline scratches but nothing that is obvious or affects play. Vinyl is bright and shiny; label is clean and unmarked.

VG+ (VERY GOOD+)
Some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact on the sound quality. Might have a light click or two, but NO skips or jumps. Vinyl will still have good luster; labels may have minor imperfections but otherwise clean.

Grading (Cover):

NM (NEAR MINT)
Very minor signs of wear or cover impressions. Artwork is as close to perfection as possible.

EX (EXCELLENT)
Minor disc impression or slight corner creases, no wrinkles, puckers, seam splits or writing on the cover. Artwork is clean and unworn and there is no ink wear.

VG+ (VERY GOOD+)
Cover is clean but may have minor writing or marks and may show slight wear. There may be just the start of ring wear, where the disc has created a raised area on the cover that resulted in the ink wearing off the paper. There may be slight discoloration or staining, minor seam wear, but no splits or tears. Corners may have small creases or fraying.
