Various Artists - "When Girls Do It" - Red Lightnin' 2-LP Set
Another tough-to-find and highly sought after blues album set. Red Lightnin' was known for putting out some incredible blues back in the days gone by. They were a major concern among import blues labels, but pretty much under-the-radar unless you were a well-informed record aficianado. Artists include Magic Slim, TV Slim, Tender Slim, Memphis Slim, Mr. Bo, Magic Sam, Buddy Guy & others. These are all stripped-down, small band recordings from the 50s and 60s waxed in Chicago, Detroit, Louisiana & other locales. This album dates from the 1970s, but you'd never know it. Pristine shape across the board & about as close to new as you can get without a sealed shrink-wrap over it. Front, gatefold & back covers are all gorgeous. All labels & vinyl are clean & beautiful. Stunning copy!
I am not a record dealer, so I won't attempt to grade anything I list, as collectors often use different methods of grading.
