We received this album in SEALED CONDITION! However, as with all Rare sealed albums, even if we are


convinced that it is a Factory Seal, the album is opened to view the contents...we check for warps, dish, cracks,


label verification, condition of inner sleeve, etc.





The Poly Wrap that is on this specific album is indeed old with some surface wear on it. The poly wrap has


two side splits at the mouth of the cover about two inches long and two holes on the left bottom corner on the


back about the size of a silver dollar. The first THREE pictures below show the album with the Poly Wrap attached.


All other pictures show the album after the Poly has been neatly removed. The winning bidder will have this Wrap


sent to them with the album!





We found this album at an estate sale where 99% of the albums there were Capitol Albums. Very odd and a first for


us. Most were jazz and pop albums like Jonah Jones, Peggy Lee, Dean Martin, etc. However, there were three


Beatles albums…Rubber Soul was sealed and it is being auctioned right now, the next is Revolver which was not


sealed but appears unplayed and it will be listed later and then there was this one.





This is an original 1St Pressing of THE BEATLES "SECOND ALBUM" on the BLACK CAPITOL


"RAINBOW" Record label in MONO! This is a real "Crispy Critter" with the original


cover (Record Jacket) that has "Can be played on Mono or Stereo Phonographs" printed at the bottom


on the back. Gorgeous Seams, Spine and printing on the spine. NO splits or Wear! The entire back


of the cover is Snowy White! There is NO number located next to the RIAA Logo at the bottom


on the back.





***OK, NO SEAM WEAR or SPINE WEAR! THE SEAMS AND SPINE ARE A SNOWY WHITE! NO SURFACE WEAR


ON THE FRONT OR BACK EITHER! THE PRINTING ON THE SPINE AND TOP SEAM IS CLEAR AND
UNDISTURBED...and now the Record.....





The EXTREMELY thick and very rigid record has shiny, glossy vinyl on both Sides! NO needle scratches,


NO paper scuffs and NO Hairlines exist! The record appears unplayed so we have not played it


but we will do so if asked to.





The record labels are in Superb shape. They are the Deep Circular Groove type labels. I’ve scanned each label


and pictured them below. They’re not quite as pretty as the labels on the Revolver Album. Overall, I


give the labels a NEAR-MINT 8 grade and the Vinyl receives a MINT 9 grade!





The Inner Sleeve is also a “Crispy Critter” with NO slits, Splits or Wrinkles!
