Warzone - Don't Forget the Struggle, Don't Forget the Streets LP 1st Pressing (graffiti back) Fist Records 1987 Hardcore Punk RARE. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
This is a real first pressing copy of the first Warzone album, with the graffiti font back, on Fist records. It is NOT a bootleg or a repress. I bought this copy at one of NYC's East Village record stores (Bleeker Bob's, if I remember correctly) on the weekend that it was released in 1987, and it has remained in my possession since then.
Back of jacket has text in handwritten "graffiti" lettering. No text on the spine.

The record looks a bit battle worn with a fair amount of scratches, (more on side 2 than on side 1) some 2 or 3 inches long. HOWEVER, all scratches appear to be Very Light or Light at worst, and not likely bad enough to cause a skip or too much disturbance. There could potentially be some Light surface noise and perhaps some pops and clicks here and there, perhaps most noticeable in the space in between songs, but I would bet that this record still sounds pretty decent. I'm rating it G+ to be safe but it likely sounds better than that. G+
The insert has Moderate-Light handling wear pretty much all over, mostly it's a lot of light crinkles and 1 or 2 faint beige spots that are smaller than the tip of your little finger. It still looks very decent overall. G+
The cover is in very good shape, likely due to being kept in a plastic outer bag for most of these years. There is only very slight and nearly invisible ring wear. It is only just barely visible at the top middle area of the front and back. The corner tips have only Light wear and are still pretty sharp. There are the usual handful of short and faint veins near the edges. In addition there are 4 longer veins (each around 2 and half inches.) 3 are on the front and 1 is on the back. These longer veins are ever more faint than the previously mentioned ones, and I have included close up pictures of a couple of them. There are a few short scratches in the varnish of the cover that can be seen only if you look at it from the right angle. There a few pin point sized spots here and there and a couple tiny faint smudges, that would not be noticeable at all if the cover wasn't mostly white. Some of these could potentially be removed with a bit of care. The spine has only Light wear and no areas that are shredding or worn through. No text appears on the spine with this pressing. One corner has a very small partial recovered bend. (1 centimeter by one and a half inches.) It is very minor and easy to miss. VG
Grades that I use are G-, G, G+, G++, G+++, VG, VG+, VG++, VG+++/EX, NM. I won't be describing anything as M or MINT unless it is unopened and the packaging is completely unblemished. Records that have never been played but HAVE been opened, will be described as Near Mint or NM. These are the adjectives that I use when describing damage: Very Light, Light, Moderate, Severe, Catastrophic. To describe damage in between those ranks I say things like: "Moderate leaning towards Severe," "Moderate leaning towards light," or "In between Light and Moderate"...just for example.
