Roger Wagner Chorale –
ENCORE –
M&K RT-110 Direct-to-Disc –
STUNNING!
Another Ken Kreisel recording triumph at M&K, this edition of ENCORE features the M&K audio capture of the Roger Wagner Chorale, and the sound of it all, I tell you, rivals WILD WILD WEST on the TAS list.
Incredible space, definition, and breadth is the result, as we hear these lovely massed voices deliver a PORGY AND BESS Medley hard to beat, then favorite “encores” of the ensemble, in OH! DEAR!, DANNY BOY, POLLY-WOLLY-DOODLE, DRY BONES, and SET DOWN SERVANT.
Wonderful copy, too: Cover is like new, as is the record. Near mint in playback, perhaps better.
Not to be missed.
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
