Description
Here is the Holy Grail of RAMONES records. It's a mint condition origional pressing of the official live RAMONES album "Beat From The Street" from 1976. This is one of the most sought after super rare punk albums of all times. This is not a bootleg or a reissue but the real deal.
Now for the history. Back on August 11th and 12th 1976, the Ramones had their first ever west coast appereance at the Roxy in LA - where they opened for the Flamin Groovies.
The Ramones did two sets every night at the Roxy and these gigs were recorded for Rock Around The World's "Beat From The Street" LP. Rock around the world was America's national radio show during the 70's. It was heard on more than 160 stations, coast to coast, in the top 100 markets throughout the U.S. and the American Forces Radio & Television Services worldwide. Featuring music and interviews, Rock Around the World existed from 1974 to 1979. 15 or 16 songs were played each set, 12 tracks made it onto this Vinyl. Mixed with commercials, the LPs were pressed immediately and sent out to radio stations. Airdate was September 6th, just 3 weeks after it was recorded.
Originals come in a plain red, textured sleeve with a sticker, as shown. Included also are the original schedule and cue sheets. Remember, this is NOT a Bootleg. This is a promo-only licensed for radio airplay and the rarest of all Ramones vinyls. This "Beat From The Street" promo is often called the "Mother of all Bootlegs". Indeed this LP is the master for later released bootlegs, the first ones came from this particular show.

This is a chance to sit back in your chair and get transported back to 1976 at the ROXY when the RAMONES were hungry to make it big. This record absolutely ROCKS!!! Good copies of this original LP are almost impossible to find. Most DJs didn't handle such promo stuff carefully and/or the sleeve and sheets (if not missing) have handwritings on it.
