WOORDEN - S/T LP (OMEGA) VG++/VG+
Top copy of the blasted sounding Dutch counterculture artifact with poet Simon Vinkenoog (the same guy spieling on Group 1850's Agemo's Trip To Mother Earth) blithering away a mile a minute over a relentless free rock/cosmic freakout. Way out on a limb for the 1968 recording date!
The cover is VG++ and is a beautiful clean looking copy marred only by the fact that there is a one inch seam split on the bottom as well as some accompanying seam wear nearby and because a previous owner scribbled something on the inside of the opening of the sleeve (not the gatefold, but inside the lip of the record opening, which is obviously annoying but also largely invisible too, so graded accordingly (see photos for details). The vinyl that I would otherwise describe as playing a clean EX
I am forced to downgrade to a VG+ because there’s a single isolated skip on Side A. Given how much open space exists on some of this music, a copy that plays this quietly overall is a pretty great score in my opinion, but I’ll let you be the judge of how much one skip throws you.
