Wow, here is another Talking dust Bowl recording.  One just sold for $355.  I must admit though the jacket on this one isn't in as nice a shape as that one.  But is still plays great.  I played it on a Danon turntable and all of the tracks played great on it except of the last two on side one.  When I played it on my old record player with a heavier tone arm those two tracks played great as well.  As you can see there is a scratch that runs along those two tracks on sdie 1( at 7: o'clock) and that is why it skipped on the Danon.  I was wonderful listening to Woody Guthrie with that gravely voice and those inherent little crackles that you would find on a 59 year old recording.   What a neat find.  This record came from the collection of an old friend of mine and I am selling it for his wife now that he has passed.  I have been looking for this particular recording for a while on e-bay and when I saw it on e-bay I was excited to see just what it might sell for and was surprized when it sold for as much as it did.  I tried to give you as many pictures to look at as I could so you could make your decision for bidding. 

 I will tell you what I can find on the record.  Everything that I found on this recording indicates that it is a 1950 recording not 53, but what do I know.  Copyright 1950 from Folkways Records & Service Corp., custom molded by Plastylite. The label is bright with only a scratch on side 1.  I wish that the cover was in nicer shape but it may be able to be restored.  The illustrated booklet is in wonderful shape with a tight binding and pages it only a blemish on the back cover page where it might have been stuck to something and when you look at the photo the dark spots on the right side are missing paper but not rips.   I could go on and on describing this item but if you look at item number 160369156 you will find more than I could know on my own about this recording. I hope that the unsuccessful bidders of that item will find this item and bid.  Look at the pictures closely and  PLEASE contact me with any questions as this is the first recording that I have sold on e-bay and I don't know what you might want to know.
