WOLF PARADE – Dan Boeckner, Spencer Krug e Arlen Thompson – presentano “Thin Mind”, loro quinto album, in uscita su Sub Pop. “Thin Mind” ha narrative sci-fi, post-apocalittiche e distopiche sparse un po’ ovunque. Questi temi sono emersi durante le registrazioni al Risque Disque di Vancouver, che Boeckner ha scherzosamente descritto come l’utopia fallita di un olandese (John Goodmanson), una struttura problematica dall’atmosfera post-apocalittica: lo studio è collocato in un fienile in pietra costruito a mano da John in mezzo al bosco, realizzato utilizzando solo materiale locale e basato sul ricordo di un edificio che ha amato molto durante la sua infanzia in Olanda. “Thin Mind” vede i membri principali dei Wolf Parade lavorare in trio, come nei precedenti “Apologies to the Queen Mary” e “At Mount Zoomer”, con gli sforzi cantautorali e compositivi equamente divisi tra Dan Boeckner e Spencer Krug.
