The track 'Rumble On Mersey Square South' is a brilliant slice of uk psych/freakbeat with plenty of superb heavy lead fuzz guitar and some great fighting lyrics, the B-Side is ok but is not in the same league as the amazing pounding psych/freakbeat A-Side.
This 45 by the brilliant 'Wimple Winch' is one of the rarest and best UK Fuzz/Freakbeat/Psych singles to ever be released, all three uk 'Wimple Winch' singles are well established psych/freakbeat classics that are well worth all the hype, because there are so few surviving copies of the bands 45s they will always be right near the top of the mod/psych/freakbeat rare UK 45 wanted lists. This copy on offer here is not the mispressing that plays 'Atmospheres' on the flipside but it is still extremely rare and very near impossible to find in any condition.
Both Mono Fontana labels are in very good condition with no nasty faults, there is just minimal wear and ageing/marking and also a barely visible name written on the silver area of the label of Side-1. The original Fontana Records company sleeve is ok but a little tatty at the top having a few small rips, you could easily find a much better condition replacement sleeve if you wanted to. The vinyl grades as good condition with some scuffs and some light grazing and a few mild scratches and tiny hairlines, there is some noticeable crackle and tics when played but both tracks play through fine with no skips/jumps and a good sound quality.
This mega-rare 'Wimple Winch' fuzz/psych/freakbeat 45 really is near impossible to find in any condition so here is a very rare opportunity to secure an original copy in good condition. If you collect rare original UK Mod, Freakbeat and psych 45's and the stranger and more obscure UK beat and pop-sike releases from the mid to late 1960's then this extremely rare UK Wimple Winch 45 would make a brilliant addition to any collection.
