THE WHITNEY HOUSTON STORY - 2LP set, but the fourth side is blank so it is 3 sides. Very nice and clean NEAR MINT copy. Being the only copy of this to ever see the light of day, it is quite exciting. Cover is as shown with some ring wear, and the labels were x'd most likely by the DJ who played them once (again most likely) in June 1988! Contents of the 3 sides are DJ interviews, most of Whitney's hit songs up to June 1988, and the original period radio commercials.
Hard to say how many they made since it was a syndicated show. Only a subscribing (they had to pay a lot for the right to play the show) radio station would have received a copy. Not too many I suspect, as it was 1988 some stations were already transitioning to CD.
This record set is the DEFINITION OF RARE, there are NO other copies of this (The Whitney Houston Story) for sale anywhere online, nor has there ever been an online sale recorded. "Hot Rocks" ran on the U.S. radio during the 80's. They did a regular weekly show, and also a weekend special series like "Story". The Story series included artists like Madonna ($125*), Pet Shop Boys ($635* WOW!), Culture Club ($125*), Wham! ($70*), Cheap Trick ($50*), Janet Jackson, Hall & Oates, The Cars, etc. There are more but these are the top sellers.
