TITLE:  "Let's Shake Hands" c/w "Look Me Over Closely" on Italy Records RED vinyl + typed insert.  Issued 1997.  Cat No IR 003.

DESCRIPTION:  This is the first pressing 7" single with picture sleeve featuring our minimalist rock duo, Jack on piano, guitar and vocals; Meg on drums. The A side is a Jack White original.  The B side is a song made famous by the great Marlene Dietrich.  It was issued on the indie label Italy Records in the U.S.A. and is the bands' debut release.  It was limited to just 500 copies on red vinyl and is extremely scarce.  It is a must-have record for all true fans of the band.  N.B. This does include the small insert typewritten quote from George Washington although it is not shown in the photos (due to brain cell wastage on my part !).  This is also in MINT condition.

CONDITION:  The single cover is in MINT condition, colours all bright and sleeve completely intact.  The record is also MINT with the U.S style large centre hole and appears to be in new and unplayed condition.

GRADINGS EXPLAINED: As taken from The Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide.

MINT:  The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT:  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and tear.

VERY GOOD:  The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

N.B.  The addition of PLUS or MINUS to the above indicates an "in-between" grading.

PAYMENT METHODS ACCEPTED: UK buyers can use PayPal or pay by cheque drawn on UK banks only or by Postal Order.  Cheques/P.O.'s are preferred from UK buyers for items under £10 incl P&P.  European and rest of the world buyers please use PayPal ONLY.  Please do not send payment until invoice is received especially for buyers requiring additional insurance.  Payment should be made within 7 days of the close of the auction and please allow time for cheques to be cleared.  Otherwise, items will be relisted.

POSTAGE ETC:  UK First Class Recorded delivery will be used in all cases. This does cost a little more but provides some degree of protection should anything go missing, or get damaged, in transit.  For overseas buyers postage is by standard Air Mail unless a request is made for International Signed For which does cost extra.  N.B. For higher priced items buyers should consider asking for additional insurance which I am happy to arrange at cost. Otherwise I do try to keep P&P at cost.  Packaging is purpose made mailers with stiffening as appropriate.

COSTS: To UK - £1.50 recorded.  To Europe - £1.50 Airmail.  Rest of the World - £2.00 Airmail.

RETURN POLICY:  If not fully satisfied I am happy to refund at the ebay hammer price, excluding p&p.  However, items must be returned within 7 days of receipt, in the condition they were posted to the buyer and in the original packaging.  I cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
