WHITE PRIDE -PEACE MY ASS - NOVELTY DRUNKS WITH GUNS MAXIMUM ROCK'N'ROLL. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter.
"Early 80's Hardcore band from St.Louis. Controversial for their shock-value imagery and lyrics.
Members of New Wave-ish bands take a bad joke too far. Bob Leach was/is (he's dead) partially Chinese, which is always the "excuse" people used to "prove" it was a joke. They started playing about late '81 and only did a handful of shows. Mike Doskocil was post-Antimation/ pre-Drunks With Guns & Ultraman, and the only Drunks With Guns connection. The other Mike (Mike Teepe) still works at a guitar store in St. Louis. Jim, the 4th member is around... just not in St. Louis anymore. Jim was in a buncha St. Louis bands. The 7" came out in '87 and is songs from the demo.
It was a joke, just not a very funny one. It was effective with the MRR letter section and a few other places... Unfortunately, the fascist crowd took it seriously. Later reissues of the demo on RAC labels, were done without the band's permission."
