Description
Truly the holy grail of Velvet Underground records this is possibly the rarest commercially available VU record. The only record I think that is rarer is the well-known acetate. A promo version of VU's first record is already incredibly hard to find. However, the vast majority of these promos are yellow label promos pressed at Verve's East Coast pressing facility. Only a few promos were pressed at Verve's West Coast facility and these are identifiable by the white Verve label. To say this is rare is an understatement. I have had major record dealers examine this record and claim that a white label does not exist and that they have never seen one in many years of collecting.
LP is in NM condition and label is stamped with original DJ name. Label itself is otherwise in beautiful. Spindle hole is beautiful. I've personally listened to this pressing and compared it to my regular blue label pressing and feel it is of superior quality. Crystal clear sound and incredibly clean. In short, you will not find a better copy of the record.
Jacket is in VG++ condition with some discoloration. Looks like banana was pealed but is still intact. This record has not been for sale on Ebay since 2009 so it is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Of course, this is beautiful MONO!
