DONALD E. BOWLUS is a child psychologist and educator. His professional background includes a wide range of experience as a teacher, counselor, clinician, lecturer, and consultant. For many years he has been a school psychologist for the public schools of Long Beach, California. He has taught courses in Child Development, Education, and Psychology at Long Beach State College; University of California, and Whittier College. His major emphasis in his counseling and teaching is on the emotional growth of children. He is a specialist in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of emotionally disturbed school children.

Mr. Bowlus has a masters degree in psycholigy from Claremont College. He is certified as a psychologist by the State of California and is a member of the American Psychological Association. Mr. Bowlus served as an offier in the U.S. Marine Crops, both in World War II and the Korean War. He lives with his wife and three children on Balboa Island in Newport Beach on the coast of Southern California. His hobbies are do-it-yourself carpentry and High Sierra mountaineering.
